Juggling risks: insurance in households struggling with financial insecurity

To understand why people on low incomes do or do not take out insurance we need to understand their overall financial circumstances and the multiple risks they face.

This research report focuses on insurance and risk and draws on findings of the Spinning the Plates study, which examined the drivers of economic insecurity and how low and moderate-income households in suburban Melbourne manage increasing levels of risk.
