'Flexicurity' is a term used in Europe and elsewhere to describe a way of resolving the tension between the interests of business in flexibility and the interests of workers in job security.

This paper explored the relevance of flexicurity to social policy in Australia, at a time when federal and state governments were adopting the language of social inclusion.
