This publication brings together papers and presentations from a roundtable, ‘Equity in Response to Climate Change’ that took place 26 March 2007.

The roundtable was convened by two welfare and two environmental non-government organisations: the Brotherhood of St. Laurence, the National Welfare Rights Network, the Australian Conservation Foundation and The Climate Institute.

Key themes include Australia’s vulnerability to climate change, the effect of carbon prices on different households, and issues affecting low-income, rural and Indigenous Australians.

Contributors include Tony Nicholson, Gill Owen, Justin Sherrard and Alan Tate, Peter Brain (National Institute of Economic and Industry Research), Mark Wootton, Chris Loader and John Stanley.
