This week the sacred month of Ramadan concludes with many of our Muslim colleagues and participants gathering for Iftar.

Running over the past month, Ramadan concludes with the arrival of Eid al-Fitr giving many the opportunity to gather and commemorate the completion of the fast.

At the Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), a heart warming Iftar dinner was organised by our Youth Transitions Team at the Broadmeadows office.

Bringing together young people from both Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds, there were many highlights including a motivating speech by a local imam (Muslim community leader), Alaa Elzokm, as well as fun activities organised to share experiences and cultural traditions.

Thank you to the Youth Transitions Team for organising such a memorable Iftar, and for creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone to come together and celebrate Ramadan.
