'Employer engagement’ covers a wide range of approaches to assisting disadvantaged jobseekers. Our preliminary study proposes that there is a continuum of approaches from welfare-oriented to labour-market oriented.

It identifies common features of some current programs involving employers in Australia and not-for-profit labour market intermediaries.

This study involved collaboration with the Melbourne Business School and was undertaken with the support of the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust.
