Victoria Johnson
Project Manager
Dr Victoria Johnson first joined the BSL Research & Policy Centre in 2006 and completed a cross-disciplinary PhD in Social Work and Engineering at Monash University in 2012, investigating the role of transport in social exclusion.
After working in local government and the environment sector, Victoria returned to BSL in 2022 where her current work sits at the intersection of social and environmental justice. She brings people together to drive real change toward an Australia free of poverty and a just, inclusive and timely transition to a low-carbon future.
Recent work includes leading the Climate Safe Homes pilot – a health-focused residential energy efficiency upgrade program – and her current research, Clean Energy for All, which aims to identify and share the enablers of energy upgrades for renters in co-operative community housing.
