Access the BSL Library

The BSL Library provides an excellent social research and policy resource for the wider community sector, researchers, students and general public.

The library, operating since 1974, supports the organisation’s research and service initiatives.

The library has a physical space located in Fitzroy, and a virtual space where collections can be searched via the  library catalogue . 

Services and resources

• a searchable catalogue  including many e-resources produced by BSL’s Research, Policy and Advocacy , BSL Annual Reports  and non-BSL authored works
• a browsable print collection, open to the public by appointment
• BSL timeline , providing a history of BSL’s fight against poverty in Fitzroy, inner-city Melbourne and beyond since the 1930s
• BSL archive, an extensive collection of records including primary sources spanning almost 100 years, available by request at library@bsl.org.au .
