Board Director

Miss Henningsen is Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Australian Disability Network. She has 20+ years’ experience working in the disability, community and Not For Profit sector.

Miss Henningsen began her career at Kew Residential Services and she has undertaken roles across the disability sector, including support work, coordination, leading teams and projects, and case management. After completing a Master of Social Work (MSW), Miss Henningsen began working in the housing and homelessness space, first at The Salvation Army Crisis Services, then at Sacred Heart Mission’s Homefront (Women’s Crisis Accommodation).

Miss Henningsen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Disability Studies) and Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) from Deakin University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Melbourne.

As a woman with disability, Miss Henningsen is passionate about disability representation and seeing her community thrive. Miss Henningsen came to BSL as a Board Observer in February 2025 as part of the AICD Board Observership Program. She was formally appointed to the Board in October 2025.
