The Dads ‘N’ Kids program recognises the importance of dads, and male carers, being involved in their young child’s life.
It allows children and their fathers, or male carers such as grandfathers or uncles, to connect with other families and to enjoy fun and educational activities. Our qualified staff run activities such as social gatherings and excursions to events and places of interest. Dads can also run playgroups if they’re interested. Dads and carers can learn about child development and how children learn through play.
Dads ‘N’ Kids usually meets for social gatherings and excursions on Saturdays at various times throughout the year. If interested, Dads and carers can arrange midweek playgroup sessions.
The program is based at centres in Craigieburn and Mernda in Melbourne’s outer north, and at Fitzroy near Melbourne’s CBD. For information regarding when the next Dads ‘N’ Kids program is running in your area, please email dads(at)bsl.org.au.
