Senior Policy Advisor and Acting Principal Research Fellow for Inclusive Communities

Diane joined the Research and Policy Centre in February 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) and a Masters of Social Policy. Her career has spanned service development and policy design in the youth and disability sectors, with a focus on collaborative commissioning and the application of the capabilities approach to policy and service design.

Prior to joining the RPC, Diane spent four years as the Research and Service Development Manager for BSL’s Youth Services division where she managed the establishment and operation of a national Community of Practice of Transition to Work service providers.

In collaboration with the BSL NDIS Services team, Diane now leads BSL’s disability policy efforts, which are centred on ways to embed the expertise and voices of people with a disability and their families at all levels of policy design and delivery. This includes work on the ongoing implementation of the NDIS and the Partners in Community program, as well as the new National Disability Strategy.
