Jennifer Hester
Senior Research Officer

Jennifer Hester joined the Inclusive Education Team in the Research and Policy Centre in early 2016, and moved to the Inclusive Communities team in 2017.

With a background in sport and exercise science, she recently completed her PhD thesis about the experiences of intervention impact in young people with obesity.

Jennifer previously worked at the Southern Academic Primary Care Research Unit within the School of Primary Health Care at Monash University.



Jennifer has published quantitative and qualitative research relating to appetite regulation in children with obesity, young people’s experiences of lifestyle change and the effects of mindfulness on adults with Parkinson’s disease. She has worked with interdisciplinary organisations to design, deliver and evaluate residential, community and school-based interventions.
