Equitable responses
to climate change

Climate change poses grave risks to the health and wellbeing of Australians. How governments respond to climate change can make a difference not only to the environment but also to quality of life, especially for people experiencing disadvantage.

We're working to ensure equitable responses to climate change, including ambitious and fair emissions reduction targets and policies, ensuring all Australians can adapt to unavoidable impacts of climate change, and enabling people to be part of solutions to climate change.

Our recent work includes:

  • responding to Victoria’s Climate Change Act Review
  • exploring the impact of disadvantage on community participation in bushfire preparedness and response.
