Without the tremendous contribution from people willing to give their time and skills, our work for an Australia free of poverty would be greatly diminished.

Support young people, children and families

Investment in children, youth and families is critical to ending the cycle of poverty. Our programs and services help parents prepare their children for school, support young people in their education journey and builds sustainable communities . You can help them thrive and flourish.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR
Location: Fitzroy
Hours: Weekdays, business hours

HOMEWORK CLUB TUTOR
Location: Fitzroy
Hours: 4 pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6 pm to 8 pm (VCE only)

NUMERACY AND LITERACY TUTOR
Location: Dandenong
Hours: 2 hours per week

RECEPTION AND ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Location: Frankston
Hours: Thursdays 10am to 4pm (negotiable)

SUPPORT WORKER - URBAN CAMPS
Location: Fitzroy
Hours: 4–8 Hours per Day, 2–4 days per week, during camp weeks 

VOLUNTEER EDUCATOR - TRANSITION TO WORK
Location: Frankston area
Hours: 2 hours a week (afternoons)


Contribute to the lives of the elderly, or people with additional needs

Make a positive difference in the lives of older people or people with additional needs by volunteering in our support and residential services.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–2pm

DRIVER
Location: Banksia Centre, Frankston
Hours: Mondays or Fridays, 8.30–10am and 2.30–4pm

Location: Carrum Downs
Hours: Wednesddays, 8.30am–10.30am and 2.00pm–4.00pm

JOCKEY BANKSIA CENTRES FRANKSTON

Hours: Mondays and Fridays, 8.30–10am and 2.30–4pm

KITCHEN HAND
Location: Frankston

PIANIST
Location: Frankston

Work with refugees and cultural diversity

Refugees and new arrivals face greater challenges in settling in Australia. You can play a part in assisting them to participate in community life and work.

BRAIN BANK MENTOR
Location: Yarra, Hume or Whittlesea
Hours: 6 month commitment with at least 1 hour per fortnight

ENGLISH TUTOR
Location: Craigieburn
Hours: 2–4 hours per week

YOUTH SUPPORT MENTOR, RESOURCE YOUTH PROGRAM
Location: Hume or Whittlesea
Hours: 2–4 hours per fortnight, 6–12 month commitment

Pro bono work

Corporate volunteering or pro bono support provides companies and individuals with the opportunity to connect with communities, develop staff skills and build teams.

Hours: flexible
