Rob Hudson

Rob Hudson is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Brotherhood of St Laurence’s program divisions and helps lead policy development.

Rob has held leadership roles in the community sector including as Executive Director of both the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria and the Victorian Council of Social Service. He has also worked as a senior advisor to then Deputy Prime Minister Brian Howe and Premier Steve Bracks. He has also been a CEO of the employment services agency, WorkPlacement.

Rob was an MP in the Victorian Parliament from 2002 to 2010, during which he served as Chair of the Parliamentary Law Reform Committee, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Transport and the Arts and Secretary to then Premier John Brumby.  He also chaired the Government inquiry into regional caps on electronic gaming machines.

Rob also chairs the Balibo House Trust, an organisation promoting social and economic development in Timor Leste.  He has degrees in Social Work and Law.
