An exciting opportunity exists to provide administrative support to the Given the Chance (GtC) Jobs Victoria program and team of Recruitment & Field Officers.
Summary of the program and its objectives
Given the Chance, Jobs Victoria Employment Network (JVEN) supports disadvantaged jobseekers into employment in partnership with local providers and employers at sites in Dandenong, Flemington and Whittlesea. This project is funded by the Victorian Government.
Main responsibilities of the role
The role of the Administration Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Given the Chance (GtC) Jobs Victoria program and team of Recruitment & Field Officers. The incumbent will provide administrative assistance in the areas of pre and post placement support of eligible long term unemployed jobseekers and will assist with daily office operations including reception, office facilities management, customer service and general administration.
To meet the selection criteria, candidates will require
- qualifications in Business Administration and experience in an administration or customer service position preferably in a community-based organisation
- well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
- proven ability to work independently and within a team to achieve program outcomes
- well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
- demonstrated knowledge and competency in database management and Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
- an understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood.
This is a part time maximum term position working 30.4 hours per week.
Salary will be in the range of $52,650.00 to $56,456.40 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
