Research

To achieve our vision of an Australia free of poverty, we believe that the delivery of services to disadvantaged Australians is only a part of the solution. The Brotherhood is also engaged in research and advocacy activities which seek to understand and counter the sources of poverty and disadvantage.

Our work is organised around three main themes:

These themes provide a conceptual framework for a medium-term research agenda aimed at informing policy development, advocacy and service innovation.

In addition we have commenced a comprehensive research and advocacy program addressing equity in response to climate change.
