The Homework Centre
The Homework Centre gives academic and personal support to secondary school students, with a particular focus on students from non-English speaking backgrounds, or who lack space or resources at home.

STEP Inc Group Training
Part of a national network of group training companies, STEP recruits, employs and provides traineeships and prevocational training opportunities across a wide range of industry.

Transition Project
Transition Project, in partnership with schools, aims to assist young people to complete secondary education or make a smooth transition to employment and/or training. The project worker supports young people to explore their options and make informed decisions using a early intervention approach with long-term and intensive case management.

PACTS
Parents as Career and Transition Supports (PACTS), strives to add value to the existing work done by the Transition Project by targetting families. PACTS has developed a model to empower and inform parents and guardians about the education, training system and the Youth Labour Market.

Youth Pathways

Youth Pathways is a federal government funded program that works with young people who are at risk of leaving school (or have left school) before they have completed a year 12 education.

Doing It Differently

This project involves a collaborative partnership between school communities and a team from Anglicare Victoria, the Brotherhood of St Laurence and the Centre for Adolescent Health. Its aim is to improve young people's engagement with school during years 5, 6, 7 and 8. Download Doing It Differently outline (PDF file, 701 KB)

Download the research report Youth Voice: Peer Research into Youth Transition (PDF file, 1081 KB) based on a peer research model that gave young people the chance to be researchers on the project. Developed and resourced by a broad coalition of not-for-profit agencies, government departments and philanthropic organisations, including the Brotherhood, the report was published by the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria in 2007.
