Given the Chance

About the program
Given the Chance is a training and employment program that provides refugees with support moving into work. It is designed for those who are ready to enter the Australian workforce but lack the local experience and work culture awareness needed to find and maintain employment.
The effects of forced migration can result in settlement challenges for refugees. Given the Chance uses a whole-of-community approach to tackle these issues, with business, government and the community working together to help refugees find and keep jobs.
More than two-thirds of Given the Chance participants go on to find employment or undertake study to improve their chances of finding work and build useful skills.
