The Coolibah Centre

About the centre
Located in Fitzroy, the Coolibah Centre offers meals, welfare support, health advice and recreational activities to older people experiencing homelessness, residing in insecure housing or living with a disability.
Established in 1946 as Victoria’s first senior citizens’ centre, the Coolibah continues to break new ground. Through partnerships with businesses, schools and community organisations, Coolibah members mix with people from many walks of life – an experience that can be empowering and enlightening for everyone involved.
The cultural diversity among Coolibah members is celebrated through national and cultural festivities during the year.
