Day and respite services

Brotherhood Community Nexus clients taking part in an art class with an instructor. Our day and respite services provide social support for isolated older people, people with a disability and carers. We offer recreational activity programs that help participants connect with the community, make friends and build self-esteem.

The programs also give carers of frail older people, people with dementia and people with disabilities the chance to take some time out. Respite options range from day respite through to evening and overnight care. While loved ones socialise and enjoy stimulating activities, carers can pursue interests or share experiences and advice through carer support.

In Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula we run four services that offer day respite, two of which also provide evening and overnight care. All services are supported by dementia care and clinical care consultants.
