Banksia Carers’ Group

Six carers from the Banksia Carers’ Group waving beside a lake during an excursionThe Banksia Carers’ Group supports carers of people receiving respite care at our Banksia Community Respite Centre in Frankston, and at Banksia Carrum Downs.

The group gives carers the opportunity to talk to people who understand how they feel, and to exchange support and friendship with other carers and trained staff.

The Banksia’s Carer’s Group offers:

  • a recreation and meeting room at the Banksia Community Respite Centre
  • leisure activities and social events
  • support from other carers and staff
  • guest speakers
  • resource materials
  • referrals to related services
  • carer support networks
  • computers with internet access.

The Banksia Carers’ Group is affiliated with the Carers Association of Victoria and the Alzheimer’s Association of Victoria.
