About Banksia Carrum Downs
Banksia Carrum Downs provides social support for older people and those with a disability who are experiencing social isolation. The program offers leisure programs that promote friendship and personal development.
The activities at Banksia Carrum Downs have a social focus. They include art and music therapy, active mind games, gardening and outdoor pursuits. A weekly Men’s Shed program gives men a chance to work together with timber and tools.
For carers we provide leisure activities, social events, resource materials and referral networks.
Who is eligible?
A person may be eligible for Banksia Carrum Downs if:
- they are a frail older person OR a younger person (55 years and over) with a disability OR the carer of a frail older person or a younger person with a disability
- they live in the city of Frankston, or some parts of the City of Kingston or the Mornington Peninsula Shire.
