Care in the community

We understand that continuing to live at home can help a frail older person or a person with a disability maintain independence and quality of life. The Brotherhood offers services, resources and information to make this possible.
Our community care packages are individually tailored packages of services that help people remain at home. Support ranges from personal care, housekeeping and gardening, to assistance with meeting social and cultural needs.
Our activities program enables participants to get out and about, pursue interests, make friends and interact with the community.
The Brotherhood’s community care packages and social activities program are offered in the north of Melbourne and in the south from our Integrated Community Care and Respite Services Centre in Frankston. Both services are supported by dementia care and clinical care consultants.
Brotherhood Community Care Southern and Brotherhood Community Care Northern provide care packages to people needing assistance to live at home, and those who care for them.
Offered in the north and south of Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula, the Social Inclusion Program provides social activities and outings to older people, people with a disability and those managing a chronic illness.
Good Food Matters is an in-home nutritional care service offered to people living in the southern region of Melbourne.
The Good Conversations program puts people in contact with each other so they can have a regular chinwag over the phone.
