Older people

Many older Australians face disadvantage in the areas of housing, aged care services, health care and transport. A great number are disconnected from community life.

The Brotherhood has been caring for this vulnerable group since the 1940s and continues today with an approach that recognises the importance of family, friends and community in the lives of older people.

Seniors Festival

Victorian Seniors Festival is a week-long celebration for seniors held each year. Running from Sunday 2 October to Sunday 9 October, it includes hundreds of free or low-cost events, forums and activities, across Victoria, as well as free public transport for Victorian Seniors Card holders.
