Older people

Many older Australians face disadvantage in the areas of housing, aged care services, health care and transport. A great number are disconnected from community life.

The Brotherhood has been caring for this vulnerable group since the 1940s and continues today with an approach that recognises the importance of family, friends and community in the lives of older people.

Dementia Resources Library

The Brotherhood of St Laurence's Dementia Resources Library has been developed to aid those affected by dementia.

This library contains material which should be useful to carers of dementia sufferers. In addition to guides and manuals there are kits, games, movies and musical items.
