Loans

A calculator and pen sitting on a page with a list of monetary amounts printed on itIn Australia low-income earners can find it difficult to obtain finance from mainstream providers. Through our partnership with ANZ, we are working to make loans more accessible for people on low incomes. We have seen that access to affordable and appropriate loans improves people’s self-sufficiency and overall wellbeing and allows them to realise their potential.

We want to ensure that disadvantaged families are no longer forced to choose between paying exorbitant rates of interest to payday lenders or go without.

Microfinance, or small loans, can assist low-income earners to build assets, obtain necessary white goods or basic household items, or pay for car repairs.

Progress Loans

The Brotherhood, with ANZ, offers people on low incomes small personal loans of $500 to $3000 for purchasing essential household goods such as fridges and washing machines, and loans of up to $5000 for cars.
