Playgroups

A musical instructor captivating children at our Community Playgroup with accordion playing.Playgroups at the Brotherhood develop children both physically and mentally through structured play. Activities such as craft and music help build social skills and aid general child development.

Playgroup programs can also break down isolation and provide parents with a space to share advice and concerns.

Our programs are delivered by qualified childcare workers, often with visiting specialists in areas like cross-cultural communication, special needs and child health.

Community Playgroup

This playgroup operates out of Atherton Gardens Kindergarten, with facilities including toys, bikes, swings and other educational equipment focusing on developmental play.

My Time

Finding time is especially difficult if you are a parent of a child with developmental delays or special needs. The Brotherhood supports such parents through the My Time program, which combines a playgroup for children and support group for parents.

Hearts and Hands Playgroup

Meeting other parents is an ideal way to get tips on parenting through building connections and friendships. The Brotherhood provides a facilitated playgroup in Melbourne’s outer north that specialises in play that helps children develop and gives parents a chance to meet and raise family issues.

Baby Book Club

Baby Book Club is a weekly playgroup for parents and babies that nurtures a love of literacy in children at a young age. Each session is filled with books and supported with other play experiences, recognising the importance of play in children’s learning.
