About FloodSax
To aid the Brotherhood’s vision of addressing unmet needs in innovative ways, FloodSax was introduced into the market to help Australians to protect themselves against the threat of flooding and water damage.
FloodSax is a Brotherhood social enterprise which markets a lightweight no fuss sandbag that can be deployed within minutes.
FloodSax expand as soon as they become wet, holding up to12 litres of water. Weighing only 200 grams, they are vacuum packed and take up minimal storage space.
While many people have sandbags on stand-by to protect against flooding, they are not always the safest or easiest option. Not only are sandbags hard to come by in the time of need, but their weight, bulkiness and time it takes to position them can often have disastrous effects on properties.
