Community Playgroup
About the program
This playgroup operates out of Atherton Gardens Kindergarten, with facilities including toys, bikes, swings and other educational equipment focusing on developmental play.
It runs on Thursday mornings at 125 Napier Street, Fitzroy.
Who is eligible?
Children are eligible for Community Playgroup if they are:
- residents of Atherton Gardens or the surrounding Fitzroy neighbourhood
- under five years old.
Features
Community Playgroup offers:
- supported play facilitated by early childhood workers
- a safe environment for parents and children
- maternal and child health visits
- music practitioner visits
- library visits
- access to childcare professionals for advice
- referrals to other parenting and settlement services
- indoor children’s playrooms.
