Please join us at the Brotherhood of St Laurence Business Leaders Lunch, for insights into the future opportunities and challenges facing the Australian workforce. Keynote speaker:  Paul Bassat, joint CEO, SEEK.

As the Australian economy grows, and the population ages, our labour market will struggle to satisfy the demand for skills unless more effective ways are found to optimise the existing workforce.

Innovative and enterprising solutions are needed to engage those people currently excluded from our dynamic employment market, including young people, those with disabilities, and the long-term unemployed.

Since its inception 80 years ago, the Brotherhood has understood that employment is key for enabling disadvantaged Australians to build a good life for themselves and their families. Our bold vision for the future of a fully utilised Australian workforce will benefit both business and those individuals not yet taking part in the mainstream life of our community.

SEEK’s Paul Bassat will offer his unique overview of the Australian labour market. SEEK operates seek.com.au and seek.co.nz, which are the leading employment websites in Australia and New Zealand, and it is also a major player in the vocational training and education market in Australia. SEEK has been consistently rated as one of the best employers and fastest growing companies in the Asia–Pacific region.

Tony Nicholson, Executive Director of the Brotherhood of St Laurence, will discuss the Brotherhood’s vision for a fully utilised Australian workforce.

Jane Wilson, Grocon’s Corporate and Government Affairs Manager, will speak about Grocon’s experience of diversity in employment.

Special rates offered for tables of 10 and not-for-profit organisations.

Cost: $120.00
