My Time
About the program
Finding time is especially difficult if you are a parent of a child with developmental delays or special needs. The Brotherhood supports such parents through the My Time program, which combines a playgroup for children and support group for parents.
This supported playgroup provides care with a dedicated childcare worker as well as a facilitator for parental discussions where parents can raise concerns and share advice.
The playgroup is held on Thursday afternoons at the Napier Street Child and Family Resource Centre.
Who is eligible?
Families are eligible for My Time if they have a child with a disability or developmental delay.
Features
My Time offers:
- pre-literacy and pre-numeracy development
- access to childcare professionals for advice
- referrals to other parenting and settlement services
- indoor children’s playrooms
- an outdoor play area.
